Role Overview:

As a Business Analyst at PhonePe, you will be a critical part of a product pod, defining key metrics, analyzing performance trends, and driving improvements through data-led insights. This role goes beyond data management; it requires ownership of business outcomes, deep collaboration with product and business teams, and the ability to translate complex data into actionable strategies.

Key Responsibilities:

• Define and monitor critical metrics for the product pod.
• Collaborate closely with product and business functions to translate business problems into analytical problem statements.
• Lead in-depth analysis to generate unbiased insights backed by data.
• Proactively suggest improvements to critical metrics and validate them through data.
• Design and manage dashboards for easy data consumption.
• Mentor junior analysts and participate in hiring and onboarding processes.

Key Technical Skills:

SQL, Data Visualization (PowerBI, Tableau, QlikView), R, Python, Statistical Analysis, Excel, Dashboard Development, Big Data Handling

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in a quantitative discipline.
• 2–4 years’ experience in analytics or business analysis.
• Advanced SQL skills and experience with visualization tools.
• Strong analytical reasoning and problem-solving abilities.
• Storytelling capability to present data in an understandable and impactful way.
• Exposure to statistical modeling; ML experience is an advantage.
